Recent Update: xSTAR Platform
In October 2020, xSTAR was envisioned as a platform that would bring historical events to life.
In July 2021, xSTAR is the project title for two world-first, cutting edge, XR products - just days from commercial release.

Developed and deployed in partnership with the National Tourism Organisation of Montenegro and its subsidiaries, Visionz is proud to present VantageVR and KotorAR.
KotorAR seeks to revolutionise the mass tourism experience, while providing a golden solution to tourist-centric small businesses bearing the brunt of coronavirus restrictions. Using geospatial technology to trigger augmented reality content, the KotorAR app enables tourists to see into the past with innovative 3D animations. Depicting a myriad of scenes from Kotor's centuries of history, the platform gamifies the historical experience, wherein 'AR zones' guide one's journey through the historic streets - a world-first AR city experience. The platform also makes extensive use of mass tourist arrival, environmental, and user data analytics to guide tourists towards recreation and shopping experiences aligning to their interests. Likewise, making analytics visible for Kotor's small businesses offers them a chance to make dynamic offers, and market themselves in a uniquely proactive manner to maximise turnover.

KotorAR is the product of cooperation between multiple levels of Kotor regulators and operators, and is currently in the technical analysis and design stages for MVP. It is on track to have a refined commercial release in May 2022, timed for the onset of the 2022 Montenegrin tourist season.

Early VantageVR MVP Launch
VantageVR takes the concept of historical immersion to the next level. Placing the viewer at the heart of a historical event, enveloped in a historically-accurate 360-degree landscape of sights and sounds, we take even the avid historian to a place never before experienced. The first production of the VantageVR platform is on the Battle of Perast, wherein the 16th century Venetian town of Perast defends itself from a fierce Ottoman naval attack at dawn on Boka Bay. The notion that one's view in the headset, and one's view out of it, aligns perfectly, is what makes the VanatgeVR experience the first of its kind.

Having had fantastic consumer response on our MVP, the first VantageVR experience center is set to open to the public in late July 2021, on the balcony of the Museum of Perast. The success of this vantage point will dictate scaling of vantage locations, and next productions.
